About the Role
Suffolk Primary Care are looking to recruit a clinical research administrator to join our dedicated clinical research team. In this role, you will provide vital administrative support for clinical research activities within and across Suffolk Primary Care (SPC). Based at Combs Ford Surgery in Stowmarket, this position is offered on a part-time basis with flexible working. 
 
The main objective of this position is to work with the Lead SPC Research GP and SPC Research Nurse in optimising recruitment for research projects across all SPC cluster partnership practices. This will be achieved through effective monitoring of recruitment and the RSI (Research Site Initiation) scheme.
 
Key responsibilities will include;
  • Provide full administrative and secretarial support to the team.
  • Take accurate notes and minutes at meetings. 
  • Coordinate diary events and arrange meetings using electronic calendar. 
  • Liaise with external venues to arrange caterers etc. 
  • Establish and maintain office systems and admin procedures. 
  • Manage calls to the department, taking messages and relaying information. 
  • Support the clinical research team in coordinating a portfolio of National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) studies and commercial studies.
  • Assist in the coordination of ongoing studies, including maintaining site files, updating quality systems, preparing documents for patient visits, and liaising with patients/carers.
  • Manage trial documentation and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Draft letters and documents.

About the Candidate
We would welcome applications with the following experience, skills and attributes;
  • Experience of working in administration, preferably within the NHS.
  • Prior clinical research experience is desirable but not essential - we value a willingness to learn and actively engage in training opportunities.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.
  • Experience of working within a primary care or research environment would be desirable.
