About the Role

Orchard House Surgery based in Newmarket, has an opportunity for an enthusiastic Dispensing Assistant to join our team, on a part-time basis. We are looking for someone to join us for 16-20 hours per week, worked Thursdays and Fridays, between the hours of 8am and 6pm.

Duties will include:

Ensure the safe, accurate and timely supply of prescribed medication to patients
Provide medicines-related and healthy lifestyle advice to patients
Assist in the smooth operation of the pharmacy
Maintain patient medication records
Oversee stock management
Answer queries from patients

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will:

Be working towards or have completed an accredited NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) Dispensing Assistant training course
Good attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Excellent team working skills

About Us

We are a 6-partner PMS practice in Newmarket with approx. 11,400 patients and employ 3 further salaried doctors. The practice is one of three based that provides a high level of care to our patients in Newmarket and surrounding villages.
