About the Role
Ambrose Avenue Group are seeking an advanced nurse practitioner to join our Colchester team on a full time basis. You’ll be an experienced nurse prescriber acting within their professional boundaries. You will provide a first point of contact for patients presenting with undifferentiated, undiagnosed problems, using skills in history taking, physical examination, problem-solving and clinical decision-making to establish a diagnosis management plan.
 
You will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary practice team to meet the patient’s needs, providing the first point of contact for patients presenting with undifferentiated, undiagnosed problems, using skills in history taking, physical examination, problem-solving and clinical decision-making to establish a diagnosis management plan.
About the Candidate
Qualifications and experience required for this position:
  • Registered Nurse.
  • Qualified Nurse Prescriber.
  • Qualified Triage Nurse.
  • Minor illness qualification.
  • Postgraduate Diploma (Advanced Practice qualification).
  • Experience working in a general practice.
  • Experience working within a nursing team.
  • Experience in dealing with vulnerable patients.
  • Proven ability to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of their clinical practice.
  • Experience in nurse-led triage.
  • Experience in prescribing and undertaking medication reviews.
