Practice Nurse

Greenwood and Wyncroft Surgery has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practice nurse to join our team on a part-time basis, for 15 hours per week on Thursday and Friday. 

• A relevant nursing degree.
• Current NMC registration with an active PIN.
• Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course (General Practice Nurse Foundation Programme) or equivalent experience or qualifications;
• Competence to undertake asthma, COPD and diabetic clinics and reviews, holding relevant certificates.
• Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation, phlebotomy, ECG recording, screening, management of long-term conditions, cervical cytology sampling, vaccinations and immunisations, assisting with minor surgery, dressing and wound care, and recording spirometry. 
• Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work.  The successful candidate will value the dignity of our patients, their relatives and carers, as well as their colleagues at the practice.
• Knowledge, and experience of its application, in supporting long-term conditions.
• Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS.
  

Greenwood and Wyncroft Surgery is a 2 site practice based in Bicknacre and South Woodham Ferrers, Essex. Our practice team consists of 1 GP partner, 2 long term locum GPs and a dedicated and supportive clinical team including ANP's ACP's and a prescribing paramedic as well as 3 healthcare assistants. We are support 11000+ patients and have a full management and administration team.
