About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time reception administrator to work at Chelmer Medical Partnership in Chelmsford. The role is offered on a part-time basis working Monday to Friday between 8am and 6.30pm. Candidates will be required to work across three sites, Humber Road Surgery, Melbourne House Surgery and Tennyson House Surgery.

In this essential front-line position, the role is responsible for ensuring that appointment bookings are well-managed, a safe high-quality service is delivered to our patients, patient queries are answered and administration work is completed to a high standard.

The successful candidate must be flexible to be able to work extra hours to support colleague’s sickness and holiday absence.

About the Candidate
General practice is a challenging environment that requires a calm and caring approach with the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience, offers excellent communication skills, and has the following attributes:
  • Ability to work in a polite, confidential and discreet manner, respecting patients and colleagues at all times.
  • Experience of working with the general public, being sensitive and empathic and able to work under pressure. 
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to problem solve.
  • Strong IT and administration skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Previous medical or healthcare receptionist experience is desirable.
