About the Role
Abbey Road Surgery in Waltham Cross is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and committed individual to undertake the role of a practice nurse and join our well-established, friendly GMS practice from March 2025. The position is offered on a part-time basis, working 16 hours per week, ideally over 2 days.  The purpose of the role is to carry out all the day to day practice nurse duties in our GP surgery.
 
The role will include:
  • Travel health advice and vaccinations.
  • Child immunisations and advice.
  • Family planning and women's health including cervical smears.
  • QOF: screening and helping patients to manage long term conditions.
  • Electrocardiograms (ECGs).
  • Smoking cessation.
  • Minor and complex wound management including leg ulcers.

About the Candidate
All applicants should have the following:
  • A relevant nursing degree.
  • Current NMC registration with an active PIN.
  • Ideally have experience working in a GP surgery.

We are an enthusiastic friendly practice with over 9,500 patients. Our premises are purpose built, well-equipped with a friendly working environment and a supportive admin team. We are CQC rated 'Good' and we are consistently high QOF achievers, offering a range of enhanced services.  We use SystmOne as our clinical system.

We have a dedicated and enthusiastic team made up of one full-time and two part-time GP partners, one full-time and one part-time salaried GP, two part-time practice nurses and a full-time HCA. 

Our practice aim is to deliver a high standard of compassionate care to all our patients of all ages and of a mixed demographic population.
