Secretary

East Hill Surgery in Colchester is looking for an experienced secretary to join our friendly team on a part-time basis, for 3 or 4 days per week, to further enhance our excellent level of patient service. 

• Liaising with the surgery clinical team.
• Managing hospital and community referrals. 
• Responding and sending emails. 
• Typing letters and reports. 
• Assisting patients with queries regarding their referrals. 
• Carrying out various admin tasks. 
• Other secretarial duties. 

• Audio and touch-typing skills.
• Strong administrative experience and good organisational skills.
• Sound knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent general IT skills including MS Office and experience of working with a clinical system.
  
• Excellent communication skills. 
• Understanding of the need to maintain confidentiality and data security, at all times.
• Ability to multi-task and to work accurately under pressure.
• Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
